Drop-In Center

A Space to Regain Stability and Plan Their Next Steps

While our Residential Housing provides a secure and supportive home for survivors in need of safe housing, the FAIR Girls Drop-In Center is a welcoming daytime space where survivors can connect with others who truly understand their journey and find the support they need to move toward healing and lasting freedom.

Open Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm, the Drop-In Center is a confidential, judgment-free space where survivors can rest, recharge, and access critical services. To ensure the safety and privacy of everyone inside, advance notification is required for entry. Whether they are current Vida Home residents joining during the week, survivors living independently nearby, or survivors walking through our doors for the very first time, the Drop-In Center is the bridge between crisis and stability. A consistent, familiar place that stays the same even when everything else feels uncertain.

Direct service providers and community partners are also welcome, fostering connections, healing activities, and programming that strengthen our entire community.

Need help? We are here for you, 24/7.

Peer Support and Support Groups — A trusted, staff-facilitated space to connect, heal, and grow alongside others who truly understand the journey.

Workforce Development — Hands-on training and career coaching to help survivors build the skills and confidence they need to pursue meaningful, stable employment.

Self-Care and Wellness Holistic programming designed to nurture the mind, body, and spirit.

Hot Meals and Basic Necessities — Warm meals, clothing donations, and free laundry services, provided with dignity and care.

Wrap-Around Partner Services — Free mental health and medical services, substance abuse counseling, and legal assistance through our trusted community partners.

And so much more.

Five days a week, the Drop-In Center opens its doors to survivors who need a meal, a case manager, a job lead, or just a place to land. We are growing this space intentionally, because we know that the right support at the right moment can change everything.

Survivor Stories

Carrie
Story 2
Carrie is a 19 year old high school graduate whose exploitation began when her family member sold her to a pimp. After the death of her younger sibling, Carrie lived in foster group homes. After a month of being sold online, Carrie was taken from the Midwest to Washington, D.C. where she was helpless and alone. One night on the streets, she saw a police car and ran toward it. After her rescue and her family member’s arrest, she moved into FAIR Girls’ Vida Home.

At FAIR Girls, Carrie received daily access to supportive counseling, crisis support, and began to rebuild her life. With a high school diploma and a new resume and job training, Carrie was able to move back to her home state where she is now living with a distant relative and working in merchandizing while applying to college.
