DeShaun N. Wise Porter

DeShaun N. Wise Porter is the Principal & CEO of WiseHR Advisory Group, bringing deep executive leadership experience from her tenure at Hilton, where she led enterprise-wide strategies at the intersection of talent, culture, and business performance. A trusted advisor to C-suite leaders, she is recognized for designing and executing integrated, values-driven people strategies that build diverse, highly engaged, and high-performing organizations across sectors.

Prior to founding WiseHR Advisory Group, DeShaun served in senior executive roles at Hilton, including Vice President of Strategic Pathways & Recognition and Global Head of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Engagement, as well as Vice President, HR Consulting. In these roles, she partnered closely with executive leadership to drive enterprise-wide transformation, leading integrated talent initiatives focused on attracting, developing, and retaining high-potential and top-performing talent while advancing inclusive, high-engagement cultures.

A passionate and results-oriented leader, DeShaun brings extensive experience in driving culture change and accelerating talent growth through differentiated talent models and scalable leadership development programs. Her work has spanned leading global transformation initiatives, managing merger and acquisition integrations, overseeing the implementation of core HR technologies, and building and developing high-performing teams across geographies.

Earlier in her career, DeShaun served as a key advisor on the integration of market-based compensation strategies and the implementation of advanced HR information systems. She was also a principal architect in designing a high-performing learning organization at Kimberly-Clark, spearheading the development of the company’s first global learning management system and enterprise language-learning program. Her global business acumen, paired with exceptional cultural dexterity, led to short-term leadership assignments in Seoul, South Korea; Istanbul, Turkey; and Medellín, Colombia.

DeShaun is a graduate of Florida State University, where she studied Multinational Business Operations and Finance. She holds multiple professional certifications and has received numerous awards recognizing her leadership and impact within the human capital and organizational development fields. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for FAIR Girls, Inc. and is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and The Links, Incorporated. Deeply committed to service, DeShaun is an active mentor and advocate for underserved youth in her community.

A two-time co-author, DeShaun has written books that ignite courage, inspire greatness, and spread hope and love. The Book of Daddy-isms: Words from the Wise shares generational wisdom passed down through her family, while Faith, Friendship & Fertility chronicles her deeply personal journey to motherhood through trials, tribulations, and IVF. DeShaun resides in Washington, D.C., with her husband, Dr. Fernando A. Porter, their sons Princeton Antonio and Braylon Alexander, and their furbaby, Marley. When not with family and friends, she enjoys volunteering, reading, and exploring cultures through travel.
