Yndia Cooper is an accomplished behavioral health professional with more than twelve years of experience supporting individuals, families, and communities through trauma-informed case management, mental health education, and nonprofit leadership. A certified Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor, Yndia is dedicated to reducing stigma, increasing mental health literacy, and equipping organizations to respond effectively to behavioral health challenges.
Yndia began her career in direct-service case management before advancing into program leadership as a Program Director within a Population Health department. She currently serves as a Director of Healthcare Finance for a Washington, D.C.–based nonprofit, integrating behavioral health expertise with systems-level operational strategy.
Her commitment to community empowerment extends beyond her professional roles—Yndia also serves as Director of Community Engagement for a Maryland-based nonprofit and has contributed as a Community Ambassador with United Healthcare. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration with a minor in Information Technology and a MBA.
