Cheryl Cavacini Battan is semi-retired from a 21-year career in the tech industry, including 11 years at Microsoft. Cheryl has held a variety of technical, technical management and partner development positions, including Director of Technology for the Microsoft Federal Sales District. She has earned numerous performance awards throughout her career, including a global sales award for her work on Microsoft Exchange DMS (Defense Message System). At the start of her career while working as an analyst for the DuPont Company, Cheryl moonlighted as a part-time college instructor at the University of Delaware, where she taught a relational database course to business school students. Cheryl graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Indiana University with majors in both Mathematics and Computer Science. She resides in Bethesda, MD with her husband and three children.
